On Friday, June 17th, I.M.U. Productions and CiTR 101.9 FM present A Sheep At The Wheel’s CD release party with special guests Second and Stealing From Alexander at The Media Club, 695 Cambie (604-608-2871). Doors open at 6:30pm, the show starts at 7pm sharp and cover is $10.
A SHEEP AT THE WHEEL fuses pulsing riff-laden verses, huge hooky choruses and powerful vocals in an original post-alternative package. Their debut EP “Blend” was recorded at Greenhouse Studios and aptly named for its eclectic mix of contagious rock songs. The band recently won UBC’s Battle of the Bands, and their first single “Another Game” is now receiving airplay on CFOX and several internet radio stations.
Based in Vancouver, A Sheep at the Wheel’s guitar-driven alternative rock has been compared to U2 and Pearl Jam. Formed in 2003 while students at UBC, the band is generating a buzz through their website, with more than a thousand unique visitors every month, and a mailing list of several hundred local fans. “Blend” is now available at Zulu and Red Cat Records.
