Dag nab it, I’m at work with no headphones! (And six days late to this post…which is rather embarrassing. My bad)
I’ll be back tonight. Watch this space. LOL

As promised, I hath returned.
Sounds good to me. I like how it’s a bit slowed-down and more “moody” than the original (if that description makes any sense at all. lol). Buuuuut being the nutjob that I am, I think I still prefer the original, because it’s what I’m used to hearing all the time.
Is this the *only* way you’re going to perform this song from now on, or will you just alternate between this version and the original?

We haven’t been performing Don’t Tell Me very much any more although I could see us pulling this version out for future shows since it fits better stylistically with the stuff on our new album. Thanks for the feedback!

We thought it would be fun to start the night off with something from our last record kind of rehashed. We tried to rock up the old version of DON’T TELL ME, but ended up completely rewriting the music, while leaving the words mostly intact. If anyone remembers the song, THE RIVER from the demo we did before Blend, you might notice that we stole the bridge from it - kind of an homage to the past I guess. I’ve always thought that song has something that’s never quite materialized in the recordings. In the end I thought it sounded a little mediocre, so who knows we may never play it again. But it was fun to do.

Oh I definitely remember “The River.” I love that song. But I haven’t heard it since you took if off your jukebox, so I don’t remember what the bridge sounded like.
