Royal Unicorn Cabaret
w/ Edwin, Ryan Malcolm and Low Level Flight, Splitting Adam.
So, it’s been a while since my last post and I decided to do this while my wife was watching a geology show on CBC. Now, I could cuddle up and watch how the earth was formed, but I like the 6 days idea… True or untrue, it involves less thought on my part.
Anyways, on September 20th we played a great show at the Royal Unicorn Cabaret. After plenty of practice with The Sheep, we knew we were going to put on a great show for Mr. Edwin. I used to and still listen to I Mother Earth, so I was pretty excited to share the stage with such a talent. (For those who don’t know, I no longer have a car. I sold it to my sister, but I can borrow it whenever I need to. A drummer needs a car. Well, I borrowed it a lot and now the brakes are gone. I’m not paying for it! It’s my sisters car!)
After his show, we caught up with him and got a quick picture when him holding the shirt. He was a very nice guy who was about to start a very long tour. Good luck Edwin…. good luck.
By this time, I had already had my gear packed up. We said goodbye, and we started dragging gear down to the car. Down stairs is much easier. Courtney and I got in the car and headed into the moonlight, uh smog.

Hey there Paul! Glad to see another one of your uber-long posts
I’m afraid to ask why it’s good to have ice in the urinals.
One day when y’all are playing in BC Place to sell-out crowds, you’ll look back on these days of doing gigs in the seedy areas of town and laugh.
Glad y’all had a good gig! I was there in spirit.
hey Paul! you probably don’t know me, but i’m Johnathan, a friend of Courtney’s…
