Continuing the voting theme of the last post, A Sheep at the Wheel needs your vote in the Indie Band showdown put on by Steamroller eZine. Unsolicited good press is like gold in the music biz, so we could really use your support. We are up against Skytone from Ottawa and John Pippus from Vancouver. Click on the following link. The voting box is in the upper right hand corner. It instantly tells you how we are doing. Thanks for your continued support.

And once you’ve voted…clear your cookies and vote again…
and again
and again
And everyone leave a comment on their blog entry/review of the band…which is a few blog entries down…
…and on a different note…
Merry Christmas guys!
I think that Rory should vote for us. After all, it is one of his slogans; “Vote for Rory, he’d vote for you!” Okay then Rory, get to it. I mean, it’s not like you’re doing anything useful with your icetime!
We won! Thanks to everyone who voted for us. We really appreciate your support.
Now let’s see if we can maintain our position at the top for another week.
Joel…dude…these guys from Toronto are gonna be tough to beat. They either have a *lot* of fans, or their few fans know how to clear their cookies. :S
Do we know what the prize is for winning this competition?
Yeah this ain’t happening, guys…these other clowns logged 600+ votes in one night. I can’t compete with this kind of cookie-clearing on my own.
Although I’m thinking the owners of this site may discover what’s going on…
As of right now, it looks like we’re winning so all is well. When it comes down to it, though, the prize is only some exposure so don’t go nuts trying to keep the lead. Thanks so much for your efforts!
My suspicion is that when we say thanks to everyone who voted, we really mean thanks to coolshades…;) Merry Christmas.
LOL well last night at midnight my time y’all were down 23% to 60-some percent. But I voted for a solid hour unti I got y’all a slight lead. Then this morning it was back to the same percentage difference as before…and I said something on U2.com about it. They’re the ones who went nuts and got y’all a huge lead again.
Exposure is a good thing…can’t ever become famous if you don’t get exposure, right?
Merry (belated) Christmas to you too, BB. And happy Boxing Day!
We got an email from the people running the contest at worn records. The cookie-clearing may have gotten a little out of hand. Please stick to legitimate voting approaches so that we don’t get sued or something.
Merry Christmas!
Yeah that’s what I was trying to avoid. I had nothing to do with the thousands of votes logged yesterday. I’ll say something in U2.com about it. Sorry guys
You must be a very persuasive person on u2.com
No worries and thanks for your efforts!
HA! Apparently so
Paul! Aren’t you supposed to be blogging about all the gigs?? Where’s the blog from the one on the 12th? You’re slacking, dude!
