Does anyone remember when they performed this song at the Grammies a few years back? They had the whole “Native American” thing going? I saw that and thought to myself: “They’re gonna get in trouble for this one.” LOL

I don’t think I’ve ever seen the original music video… :S

And while we’re on the subject of odd happenings in the ASATW blog…I swear the Tony Bennett post disappeared and then came back again…

I agree, the original is a bit of a guilty pleasure…although, I’m not sure why I have to be ashamed to say that I enjoyed the original. I think the video is part of what made the song great in the first place.

My only question is…why did you post it twice?

Ok this is coming from someone who knows very little about music…so this might make no sense to anyone except me. LOL.

Sometimes it seems that if an artist takes a “flashy” and seemingly silly song, and just slows it down and makes it more like a ballad…it almost forces the listener to pay more attention to the lyrics. And then he realizes just how good the song really is…if he didn’t already. LOL. At least that’s how it is with me…

It’s kind of like what Johnny Cash did with “Hurt”, I suppose…

I already liked the original version of Hey Ya…but I agree that this version is better.
