I have a new job! Last week I said farewell (again) to Canadian Tire and the wonderful world of retail to embark on a new journey! The wonderful world of animation!
Vanguard Animation (the force behind the recent Valient feature film) has just opened up an office here in Vancouver and I have hopped on board as a Production Assistant. While I don’t actually animate, I love cartoons and am in my element with all of these other geeks who like cartoons and comicbooks! I am helping them set up their office right now but will hopefully move into a better department soon.

The movie is gonna be quite silly. But they have some good talent working on it.
Canadian Tire is a department store like Wal-Mart. While there ae lots of tires there, everything else is also available. Except groceries.
Ahhh, I gotcha…..forgive the ignorant USian. LOL
Perhaps I’ll make a visit to a Canadian Tire store while I’m there…
(Y’all do know I’ll be in Vancouver for 6 weeks this summer, right? :P)
Really? When? Hopefully we’ll have a show during those six weeks. I know we are planning to go out of town for some gigs during the summer.

Meant to show you this: Canoe (read: Keanu) has a new semi-animated flick coming out; looks flashy — I’m getting suckered in purely for the special effects.
Congrats on the new job. Even if your not animating it sounds great.

Yes, I have heard of A Scanner Darkly. Reminds me of some of the style in Waking Life. Let’s go see it when it comes out.
js, I cannot believe that the Hiltons are getting their own cartoon series! Thanks for the link, it was very…interesting. THe character designs look cool. Very stylized. I like the thick outlines. They are much prettier as cartoon characters. I’d be more excited about this new show if it weren’t for the fact that it will be about Hiltons. I think I’ll blog about it in a few days.
Whatevs, there isn’t a network willing to carry that nonsense…yet. Let’s hope it stays that way? Augh.
