Fire Explorer, Get Firefox

Since I’m the web geek in the band, I thought I would make a web-geek type of blog post. Today Mozilla launched the latest version of their web browser, Firefox. There are many things that make this browser better than internet explorer. Not only is it newer, faster, and packed with cool features, but it is also not a Microsoft product. It’s not that I’m totally anti-microsoft, but I do like to have a bit of diversity in what I’m running on my computer.

Firefox is quickly gaining popularity out there on the interknot so if you haven’t already tried it, give it a shot.

Agreed! Firefox is definitely more robust compared to IE. And…it just looks cooler…and the browser TABS feature rocks.

That looks pretty cool amrita! Are you on a mac or pc? Which cool widgets do you have installed?

I am on a PC…but the widgets look ultra cool. I have the standard widgets that come with the software download. The ones I like are: Weather, wifi signal, power monitor, analog clock and picture frame.

The clock CHIMES!! It’s sweeeeeet.
And the picture frame can be synced with flickr accounts….so that’s pretty cool too.
