A prominent flock member recently pointed this out to me, and while I am one of the most sceptical people I know, the amount of corroborating evidence on reputable websites and even the BBC has convinced me and the rest of the band that this is legit.
This is information on how you can earn a free ipod by wasting a bit of time and a bit of money (I spent $1) to get marketted to. Before you decide this is a complete scam, please check out these links for evidence from different press sources.

This is what you have to do to get your free IPOD:
1. Follow this link to sign up with freeipods.com
http://ipods.freepay.com/?r=26525729
2. Sign up for a promotional offer. Depending where you are they will be different. I’m in Canada and signed up for Galleria, which only costs $1, and which you can cancel within 30 days. Other wise it costs $18/month. I’ve heard that the Blockbuster offer is also good, if you are given that option.
3. Get 5 friends to do the same.
That’s all! After that you will receive a free IPOD! Help me get mine by clicking on this link!

ITS A SCAM ITS A SCAM!!!!!!!
Ah…so this is why I got a random email from Amrita about a free iPod. LOL
I agree with toast on this one, though…nothing in life is REALLY free. There’s gotta be a catch.
(Oh, by the way…hi shep. :D)
There IS a catch. You have to sign up for an offer and get 5 other people to sign up for an offer. Anyway, I thought I would give an update. After you get all of your referals, you have to submit a request for them to verify everything. This took a week and a half. Then you place an order in for the ipod of your choice, which I did today. They said it would take up to two weeks to get that processed. Then I think Amazon ships your order. I will keep all you skeptics updated!
ITS A SCAM ITS A SCAM!!!
Okay, so I tried to sign up but it wants a credit card number! I do not have a credit card number!
Uh-oh….
Um…perhaps you could borrow someone else’s? :S
Or just sign up for a credit card…

We signed up for Galleria because it was only a dollar, but then we noticed that you can get $6 Cineplex Odeon tickets through them. We ordered a book of them and sure enough, they work. We saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory(straaaaaaaaange movie)with them the other day. They’re good for a whole year. Even if we never get an iPod, it’s now a buck well spent.
do galleria ain’t bad eh? Is canceling easy?
I found the freeipods deal from http://www.free-ipods.info where there’s a Canada section. Most don’t allow Canadians
this site is not a scam. I’m trying to get an ipod too, but from this site is faster:
