My New Job

I started a new job yesterday…as a storyboard artist! I am working on a zombie movie called The condemned! It’s actually a lot of hard work. I have to draw what is in the director’s mind. I can draw whatever is in my mind, but someone else’s? That’s a whole different story. I must have drawn dozens of pictures today. My hand was sore by the end of the day but I did get to spend all day drawing and the crew is cool and fun.

You know who’s in this movie? William B. Davis! You may know him as the cigarette smoking man from the X-Files! I’m gonna meet him next week.

So there I was, at my other, less interesting job at Canadian Tire, when some guy asks me for help with fishing rods. I help him and he buys four rods, four reels, four tackle boxes and a net. I make some crack about his fishing trip and he says that they are actually for a tv show called Deadzone. He makes some crack about how the film industry spends money and I say “I know all about that! I’m a storyboard artist!” He looks at me a says “Really? We need storyboard artists all the time!” So I give him my A Sheep at the Wheel business card and he says that someone should be in touch with me soon! Is that great or what?! So long, Canadian Tire!
