Well, after waiting in line for about 4 hours, Christian, Kurtis and I made it into GM Place tonight. Why? To be extras in the U2 Video for “City of Blinding Lights”
After shooting about 8 takes with everyone in the stands on either side of the stage, they did another take with everyone on the floor!! I got into the “Bomb Shelter,” to see the last take!
They played it one last time, and then played “Vertigo,” “All Because of You,” and “Sometimes You Can’t Make it on Your Own.” It was long…and very boring at times…but it was still pretty cool! I’m really pumped up about it, and looking forward to the concerts over the next two nights!
It’s gonna be great when they ask us to open for them in Australia!!!

Some of us waited there several hours longer than others. Some of us brought our friends to the front of the line. Some of them (the bastards) got into the bomb shelter while some of us (the suckers) didn’t.
Oh well, it definitely meant more to you guys. The look of pure joy on Santosh’s face was something I am far too cynical to match.

Its funny…now that I’ve FINALLY moved to New York City…U2 doesnt wanna do any surprise shoots here…:/

No, b/c then we’d have to pay you to come to Australia. How about you just do it when we play somewhere like….Mexico?
